Notesit confuses me that Stannis is taken in by Melisandre and her religion
otherwise he seems like he’s lived his entire life in a super practical way with a huge sense of honor and duty
like it makes perfect sense that his rather bored flighty wife Selsye was taken in
but I’m still so surprised that Stannis didn’t just go ‘cut that the fuck out’ to her
also embracing the Lord of Light divided Stannis’ own men and left him weaker
it just seems rather uncharacteristic considering the rest of his character
