Things I'm Obsessing Over

Last night, I was fortunate enough to attend Logo’s New Now Next awards with my friends clients. Thankfully at award shows, they often leave guest seats open for the talent so I got to sit with Damian, Lindsay, Bryce and Cameron. We were on the 3rd row and I got to sit beside Jeremy Scott which was super awesome. (We were actually a lot closer than 3rd row because the 2 rows in front of us had maybe 5 chairs in them).

ANYWAY, looked back and discovered Josh Hutcherson was sitting on the row behind me, maybe like 4 chairs down. So clearly I kept looking at him all night.

At one point, there was a break and I was like FUCK ALL I AM GOING TO TALK TO HIM. So I walked over and this is what went down:

Me: (kneeling in front of his chair…in a dress…) Hey! So sorry to bother you but I know you are a HUGE Kentucky Basketball fan right?

Josh: OH MY GOSH! DIE HARD! Are you?

Me: HELL no! Carolina all the way baby!

Josh: WHAT? Why are you even gonna come say that to me!!

Me: Boy you filmed in my home state! You have to at least like UNC a little now. I do however think UK is awesome and I am OBSESSED with Anthony Davis

Josh: He is amazing! Such a good player and that 

Both: UNIBROW!!

Me: I am soo obsessed with it. Every time there is an internet meme of it I have to put it everywhere. Anyway, I will let you go because they are about to start but congrats on everything and congrats on the championship!

Josh: Thank you so much! Seriously and hell yeah!

Me: Yeah..too bad you know that if all of UNC’s players weren’t injured it would have been us against you. Next year! We got you!

Josh: Pshhhhh

Yeah. I mean it was kind of awesome. Also, if you haven’t noticed, I have no problem walking up to celebs and talking shit.

Edit: he was THE SWEETEST kid too. He’s a wee man. Def shorter than me in heels. Prob same height as me barefoot. 

Pretty sure he was getting drunk. At one point in the show, they threw around beach balls and inflatable dolphins. I looked over and he had the dolphin in between his legs (sitting down) and was dancing with it. HILARIOUS.

I find it CRAZY though that an artist can be nominated as best new artist in 2012 here in the US but win a Brit award for Best International Breakthrough Artist in 2009 as an AMERICAN band

*facepalm* makes no damn sense

what does “New Artist” even mean for the Grammys? Like came into the greater American conscious? 

But clearly not well enough to see tweets and statuses that say this sort of thing

Maggie Smith on her Oscar statuette.

I once got to hold the Oscar statuette belonging to Kim Peek and it really was amazingly heavy. I am kind of shocked that some of those starlets can carry theirs off of the stage

On another note, meeting Peek really was an amazing experience.
